About Us
Founded in 1964 by Lyle Pries, Audrey Pries, and Walter Young; Maple Farm Equipment was a Minneapolis Moline agricultural dealership. The name "MAPLE" was selected, as it was Maple Avenue that housed the business operations.
Later with the amalgamation of the parent manufacturer and transition, Maple Farm Equipment became the Oliver, Cockshutt and later White Farm Equipment dealer. Gordon Pries, son of Lyle and Audrey, joined in the business in 1976. In 1991 Maple partnered with Ralph Ager and Lou Roste from Preeceville Implements (1991) Ltd., another John Deere dealership. In 1999 Larry Hilworth became involved and, in 2004, Maple’s John Deere dealerships in Yorkton and Balcarres merged operations together with Preeceville Implements under the entity of Maple Farm Group Partnership. In 2006 Wynyard and Foam Lake also merged their operations under this same entity as did Moosomin and Russell, Manitoba in 2010. In 1984, the company was awarded the John Deere franchise in Yorkton. Numerous accreditations have been received and the company has been consistently awarded the John Deere Signature Status for Parts, Service and/or Sales Excellence.
The company since inception has prided itself on QUALITY SERVICE and this continues today. Service Excellence is the company's mandate and an integral part of Service is parts availability. Maple Farm Group maintains one of the largest parts inventories in the province. We have a completely modern Service Repair Shops with enclosed and compound storage for customer equipment. Our technicians are certified and are considered the best in the area.

Our parent dealership is located in Yorkton, in Northeastern Saskatchewan, Canada, perhaps the best agriculture area in the province. Yorkton is the hub of the Parkland, the 3rd largest trading area in the Province. Yorkton is a vibrant Agricultural community and offers all the amenities that a larger city provides. The Balcarres location is approx 100 kilometers South West and Preeceville is 100km. North of the Yorkton location, while Foam Lake and Wynyard are located approx 100 and 130 kilometers to the North West while Moosomin and Russell are located 150 and 105km. to the South East.
